Janet Ficathon Sign Ups Open



Announcing the Janet Fraiser Ficathon




Sign ups open: Monday, March 1st
Sign ups close: Saturday, March 20th
Assignments sent: Sunday, March 21st
Dropout amnesty day: Wednesday, April 14
Stories due: Friday, April 30th.

Important Note Type Things
1. Please don't sign up if you're not reasonably sure you can have a fic finished by the due date. Should you sign up, only to drop out four hours before the deadline I will be forced to have Thor kick your butt. Or something. Dropout amnesty day is April 14th - so if your rl gets all hectic like let me know by then and I'll find a back up writer.
2. This is the Janet Fraiser Ficathon. The point of it is to write a story about Janet, not a Sam/Jack story where Janet has three lines. A Sam/Jack/Janet love triangle is completely acceptable and will make me love you forever.
3. We're going with the normal ficathon rules; You make a request and then are given someone else's request to write. There's 1,000 words minimum (extra points if you go over!) On the 30th, post your story in your LiveJournal and reply to my master list post with the link. (If you don't have an LJ or want to post the fic on a site and link to it instead, that's not a problem. If you won't be around on the 30th, let me know and we'll work something out.)
4. My LiveJournal is friends only, but I will unlock any announcement type posts. And hey, I'm always looking for new friends. [/self-pimping]

3. Pairing: Both slash and het pairings are good, and they can have up to three characters (including Janet.) Up to four characters for gen type fics.
4a. Two other requirements: These can be objects, lines of dialogue, quotes, song lyrics, genre (angst/humor/fluff etc.,) season, whatever.
4b. Smut/NC-17: Basically, whether or not you're okay with NC-17 content in your fic. This is not, however, something the writer must include.
5. Optional restrictions: Don't like song fics? In denial about </i>Heroes</i>? Not a fan of season 6? Whatever you don't want in your fic.
6. Optional writing restrictions: I know that not everyone is open to writing slash or het or threesomes, so here's your chance to tell me you'd rather not write a story featuring one of these and I'll pair you up with a more vanilla request.
7. Would you be willing to write an additional backup story if someone drops out?: You don't have to say yes, but there are cookies in it for you if you do. ;)

4a. Two other requirements: 1) Have real feelings involved... not just "they decide to get naked and boink all night" 2) Sam and Janet are in a relationship. How the third is brought in is up to you
4b. Smut/NC-17: I have no problem whatsoever with smut :-)
5. Optional restrictions: I'd prefer a pre-Heroes story, not a Heroes-fix story. Anything else is carte blanche :D
6. Optional writing restrictions: I'm up for anything.
7. Would you be willing to write an additional backup story if someone drops out?: Yep.

4a. Two other requirements: I'd prefer some aspect of humor, though not over the top. And for Cassie to be mentioned, although she doesn't need to be present.
4b. Smut/NC-17: Nope, any rating's good with me.
5. Optional restrictions: No song fic please. I don't mind the season, but please don't include Pete. In any way-shape-or-form. I'm still in denial about Chimera ;)
6. Optional writing restrictions: I'd prefer not to write NC-17 or threesomes. I don't think I could make a good attempt at either.
7. Would you be willing to write an additional backup story if someone drops out?: I don't mind if you need a last resort. But ask someone else before me if poss.

I'm afraid my janet fic will most likely not be in on time. I've had an incredibly busy time recently. I can probably get it done for Sunday, though I'll work on it tomorrow night. It's about half finished at the present time.

I'm very sorry for not saying anything earlier, I've not had time :(

Dude, don't worry about it. When I make my master post sometime tomorrow night I'll just list you as being delayed. I'm going to have to do the same thing for another ficathon I'm writing in that's due tomorrow. ;)

4b. Smut/NC-17: go where the muse takes you, I don't mind either way :-)
